Castillo De San Fernando


A good place to enjoy with the family

  • Its name derives from Fernando VII, King of Spain between March and May 1808.

Mercado Central de Alicante


The main shopping center in Alicante

Ayuntamiento de Alicante


The great institution that represents the city

  • It is recommended that you bear in mind that parking areas are sometimes scarce.

Castillo de Santa Barbara


A stop full of history

  • We recommend that you go to the guides that this place has, available in both Spanish and English. Rates vary from € 3 to € 5, for children it is free.


  • We are facing a 9th century castle of Renaissance style located on Mount Benacantil.


  • Its name derives from the day of Santa Bárbara, since on that date the castle was taken by Alfonso de Castilla from the Arabs.


  • This castle suffered bombing from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, it was from the year 1963 when it was opened to the general public.


  • This place is divided into three parts. In the first place, there is the Turret, there is the old Torre del Homenaje. Later, the intermediate enclosure where several rooms are located, such as the Patio de Armas and the Felipe II Room. Finally, in the lower enclosure is the Revellín de Bon Repós.


  • During the Spanish Civil War this place served as a prison.


  • It is also called "The Face of the Moor", since if you look at it from afar, its structure resembles the face of an Arab warrior.


  • From this castle you can enjoy the best views of Alicante. Take advantage of them!


  • There are several ways to go up to the castle, such as by car, walking or by elevator. It is important to remember that access by elevator is paid.

Basilica Santa Maria Alicante


The oldest religious center in the city

Carbonell


One of the most emblematic buildings in the city

  • We continue our visit at Casa Carbonell, a modernist Valencian style building that has 880 square meters.


  • It was built between 1922 and 1925, designed by the architect Vidal Ramos at the request of Don Enrique Carbonell.


  • Inside it houses spaces such as premises, offices and even homes.


  • Many years ago there was an accident where an Algiers seaplane collided with one of the terraces of the dome of the structure, causing the death of the crew and damage to the structure.


  • Legend has it that Enrique Carbonell decided to take revenge for the bad treatment he had one day at the Palas hotel, building this structure right in front, stealing the attention of tourists today.

Illa Tabarca | Isla de Tabarca


Enjoy this paradise island in Alicante

Playa de La Roda / Altea


To have a visual show of sea, flowers and colors

Mi esposa y yo le sacamos provecho a este viaje con esta Excelente GUIA. El viernes visítamos castillos y basílicas, El Sábado disfrutamos de la Isla De Tabarca y e domingo nos relajamos en Calpe, un pueblo muy pintoresco. Lo mejor todo gratis.

Luego que pase la pandemia y con ayuda de Dios, quisiera darme este gusto, la guía ofrece opciones increíbles como la visita a los castillos De San Fernando y de Santa Bárbara, ambos con entrada grátis. Estupendo para lo de economía limitada.
